Once upon a time I was a photographer. I spent countless hours toiling away in the darkroom with a Canon Rebel 35mm SLR at my side. Digital cameras have since taken over with their fancy features and simple editing process, but witnessing the death of film discouraged my aspirations to pursue that avenue of professional photography. I was also quite stubborn back then.
Fast forward to the last 2 years and I’ve been blogging with nothing more than an iPhone for product and test drive reviews. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy the phone, but the pictures don’t quite have that professional level of detail. I want something with quick shutter to prevent the grain, and amazing depth of field for those cool blurry background shots. I also want to do crazy close-up macro lens shots of our toys to give them a greater sense of scale and realism.
Featuring an 18.0-megapixel CMOS sensor and a DIGIC 5 image processor, the Canon EOS Rebel T5i ensures vivid, crystal-clear images in an easy-to-use and fun, yet highly customizable camera kit. The continuous autofocus while taking Hollywood-caliber high-definition video could make for some awesome product demonstrations on the site, as well as capturing the holidays in stunning quality. No wonder the Canon EOS Rebel T5i is one of the best-selling DSLRs.
