Slated for a holiday release this year is Vince Vaughn’s new comedy, Delivery Man. It’s a story about an affable underachiever looking for his purpose in life, until he learns some anonymous donations he made to a fertility clinic 20 years ago resulted in 533 children! Now he must decide whether or not to come forward when 142 of them want to meet their biological father.
Our studio friends sent the first official trailer for Delivery Man, to share with you today! I couldn’t have been more excited as a dad, and Vaughn fan, to help debut this video.
I was once myself caught in similar shoes….I never fathered 533 children, but I was a man searching for a purpose. I had a great job, supportive friends and a fantastic lifestyle, but I never felt fulfilled.
Asher arrived into our world 5 years ago, immediately and immensely altering our lives. We had become a family, I had become a dad. Staying-home with kids is a challenge, but it’s also very rewarding, like no other job can. I think that’s what Vaughn’s character experiences when he opens up the profiles of his biological offspring. He finds a meaningful and rewarding purpose in life, to guide and help these individuals with their goals. It’s a great theme that many parents will identify and can probably relate to.
