Rio 2 is available on Blu-ray and Digital formats this July 15th!

The Rio 2 Blu-ray and DVD brings everything you loved from the first Rio, but with even more laughs, excitement and music! Not only will kids get nearly an hour and a half of bonus features, but they’ll also get their groove on with two downloadable bonus songs from the soundtrack: “I Will Survive” and “Poisonous Love,” both performed by Gabi (Kristin Chenoweth) and Nigel (Jemaine Clement). For even more fun, every Blu-ray comes with 15 exclusive levels for Angry Birds Rio™ and Music Machine Sing-Along and Dance-Along songs for a whole family party! There’s also Janelle Monáe’s “What is Love” lyric video, a deleted scene, character auditions and much more!
We were really stoked to have received the newest addition to our family movie library, Rio 2. Having been huge fans of the first movie, Rio 2 was big news around the The Talking Dad lab. We caught the movie at an early screening, and were almost caught dancing in our seats. The plot was a tad polluted and went over Asher’s head, but the musical pieces more than made up for its shortcomings. He especially liked “It’s a jungle out here,” which is incidentally, what I call his playroom more times than I care to admit!
The Blu-ray is equally as fun and should make for an enjoyable family movie night. Along with the movie, you also get a generous library of special features and deleted scenes. The headlining (and Asher’s most time consuming) features were the collections of sing-along and dance-along tracks. My boy loves to breakdance, no matter the music genre.
